Honor your hero with thoughts, memories, images and stories.
In March 2004, Anbar Province of Iraq, LCP Sean Horn risked his own life to pull two of his fellow Marines out of harm’s way during a ferocious firefight when his platoon had engaged the enemy. It is with great sorrow, that on June 19th, 2004 LCP Sean Lee Horn died in Iraq before being awarded the Bronze Star for Bravery in Battle. The medal was presented posthumously to his sister Melissa in a ceremony on Camp Pendleton in front of all Sean’s comrades in arms, in honor of him and to honor Melissa for her fallen brother. We miss him dearly. Sean was our only son and wanted to follow in the footsteps of his Grandfather Floyd Horn, who was also a Marine. We laid him to rest next to his grandfather.
