Ssg Haws was a Vulcan squad leader and I was in the same Air defense artillery battalion and we became friends because we shared a habit of chewing loose leaf tobacco. so I got to know him when they were on assignment protecting the division main during desert shield. when I found out his Vulcan was hit and he ended up being KIA it was a very sad day for our unit. the only Kia we had. jimmy and his squad were Heros. he was doing his job for our military and this great nation..During a surveillance operation just prior to desert Storm.
