Honor your hero with thoughts, memories, images and stories.
Wiley met my grandmother during WW2.He was shipped out then went back to find her and she was married. She told me that he was a good man.A man who loved his mother and his country. The fact he loved his country can not be expressed more than the ultimate price he gave defending his country.I wish I would have had a chance to meet him, however he died in combat a year before I was born.all I know is what my grandma has told me.That Wiley was a man of honor with a passion for life. All I know is I am proud that he is my blood,I am proud to say Wiley L. Phillips is family.I pray that I will see him some day in heaven.I pray that his sacrifice for his country will be honored and not forgotten. To the man I never met THANK YOU
He was married prior to WW2, already had a child (Maurice) before he was deployed to Germany (Bad Tolz) where he fathered a son with my german mother in 1947. He claimed to be a christian man but slept with an unmarried woman while HE WAS MARRIED. My half brother is his son.
