While going through some boxes in my garage, I came across my POW/MIA bracelet that I wore for several years as a teenager, during the Vietnam War. I never knew what became of the person named. Thanks to the miracle of the internet, my son found out that CWO2 Thomas Okerlund was listed as dead while missing in 1978, after having gone MIA on January 3, 1971; his remains were never found. I wish I could find some of his family members to let them know that while he was missing, he was not forgotten by this stranger and to send my condolences.
