PFC Badavas was awarded the Purple Heart.
Thomas E. Badavas was born on May 1, 1946, to Chris and Mary Badavas. His home of record is Garwood, NJ. He had one brother, James. He graduated from Arthur L. Johnson Regional High School in 1965. Under his yearbook picture it states, “Practical arts…Garwood…Tom…a fine person to know…easy going…interested in electronics.”
Badavas entered the US Marine Corps where he attained the rank of Private First Class (PFC). He was assigned to HQ, 1st Battalion, 9th Marines.
Badavas was killed in action on February 21, 1967.
