  • What can I say about my brother that people don't already know? Everyone knows what an amazing person he came to be in life and what a Hero he is in death. Scott touched more lives than I ever imagined in life and even in death. I am blessed to have such a person as my older brother. However, I want to share the Scott that was a big brother to me. He was the person who taught me how to ride a bike as a little girl and picked me up off the ground when I fell and skinned my knee. He was the only one allowed to pick on me. When we needed to, we made a great team to overthrow the babysitters. Don't get me wrong.. We fought like cats and dogs but we never lost sight of the fact that we are family and loved each other no matter what. Each phase in our relationship transformed and grew better with age. It all started as annoying siblings, next came the protective older brother and finally our friendship. Scott knew wanted to do with his life at an early age. His desire to save lives in the most exciting way he knew how led him to become a Pararescue Jumper. Most people never get to fulfill their dreams, Scott did this the day he turned 18 and signed on the dotted line. He saw and lived more in his short time here than I will ever hope to experience. I know he died saving lives that dark night in February but not a day goes by that I don't wish to have him back. But knowing Scott as I do, he would not change one thing about that mission if it meant someone else would have to take his place. Never Forget, Freedom Isn't Free Wendy Duffman

  • Scott-Your Pop and I miss you very much. You will always hold a special place in our hearts. Everytime we see your lovely wife and daughter, we think about the "family" you loved so much. Your little girl looks so much like you and is getting to be a real dare devil like you. Imagine that? Love, Trudy and Dad
