Pfc. Raymond Neal Mitchell III of West Memphis Ark., was a 2004 graduate of West Memphis Christian School. He joined the Army in 2005, after attending Arkansas State University for a time. While attending high school, he lived with his grandparents Raymond and Joyce Mitchell on the property of the business that they owned and operated for 18 years, the Best Holiday Trav-L-Park off Interstate 55. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his good nature. His unit was deployed to Iraq last August and was based in Baghdad, where Mitchell was a driver and gunner for Humvees on patrol.
