Murlyn Burnet was a navigator on the B17 named Dear Mom.
His plane was shot down by Oblt Karl Borris on 17 August 1943 on a mission to Regensburg.
The plane crashed at Lummen, Belgium.
From the 10 crewmembers 6 died, 2 were taken prisoner and 2 escaped.
Murlyn lost his live that day.
He burried now at the Ardennes American War Cemetery at Neuville-en-Condroz.
On 17 August 2014, 70 years after the facts we have unveiled a monument for the crew on the crashplace
To honor him I have adopted his grave and looking now for relatives.
