The month of May is one month I hold close to my heart. In 2008, it was the month in which one of my dearest friends Matt Brown would be laid to rest. Not a day goes by when I don't think of Matt. He was a courageous and unique person that lived life to its fullest. Without really knowing Matt, you might have found him to be a tough individual to read. Underneath his sarcastic and gentle mannered personality, was a kind and sincerely caring individual. With his strong passion to help others in need, he found his path leading him into the army, with high hopes of join the peace corps. Although on May 11, 2008 we lost Matt in person, he will never be gone in our thoughts, memories, and hearts. He touched each of our lives in a unique way. By remembering the memories and how Matt help shape our lives, we can honor him and keep his legacy alive.
