Johnny P Grissom Co.D 1/2 Black Scarf Battalion Vietnam Johnny's unit and another unit was ambushed at around 3 am on March 9th 1969.Johnny being a the main lead Gunner took it in to his own hands to lay down a unknown amount of fire Power to draw attention to him self and away from his Comrades, Giving them time to get to safety. In the attempt the Vietcong tried to over take him, Johnny fought 3 time's to main tain control of the Gun. He was over took in the last attempt, he gave his life Selflessly for his Brother's in Arm's. ( this is just one of Meany Selfless act's Johnny did in his time in Vietnam, Let alone in his life time..thank's uncle for setting the bar in life..
Johnny Paul Grissom, Born 03-08-1948 in Arkansas Co.D 1/2 Battalion,Black Scarf Battalion Vietnam 1967 was a Gunner,and K.I.A on March 9 1968.
