Honor your hero with thoughts, memories, images and stories.
Every February 1st, we remember Caesar "Ce" in a special way.
He and his volunteer service will never be forgotten.
CO D, 1ST BN, 502D INF, 2 BCT,
Whenever we see our National symbol, the bald eagle - we also think of Ce.
The bald eagle on the shoulder patch of the 101st airborne division, which he wore, & its' WW II heritage, memorialized by the book and movie series, BAND OF BROTHERS, helps us to remember the challenges, teamwork, and sacrifice of all who serve in uniform, and their families.
Tomorrow's Super Bowl will finally provide an opportunity to better publicize the meaning of the GOLD STAR, presented to the close families of the FALLEN.
It's been 8 years since we lost Ce, but there is more than coincidence, I believe - that on Feb 2nd, there will be Super Bowl aided publicity and hopefully education about the meaning of the GOLD STAR (& BLUE STAR FLAG)
Rest in Peace, but Always in REMEMBRANCE
