I didn't realize it as much until we lost you that I had the most amazing role model growing up. Uncle Brian, you will always make me strive to be a better person. You always wanted to help people. You always worked hard and no matter what obstacle life threw at you, you overcame it. From joining the Army, and then getting cancer, beating cancer, and deciding to reenlist, serving for almost 20 years in peacetime and war. You helped in responses to numerous natural disasters including Hurricane Andrew and the Northridge Earthquake. Was deployed to Bosnia during the conflict between 1994 and 1995. You were deployed in 1999 to 2000 in South Korea. After all of our lives were changed on September 11th, 2001, you were deployed in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and then in Operation Iraqi Freedom in Iraq. You always made us so proud, and we will always be so grateful of the time we spent with you on your leaves, including your last one, being able to spend 2 weeks with you during that sunny July. We love you and miss you Brian!
