Born to Glen and Patricia Freeman on June 9, 1978, Brian grew up in Caledonia, Mississippi. He was the younger brother of Lisa Freeman Nichols and Mathew Freeman and uncle to Bradley Thomas. He graduated from Caledonia High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army shortly thereafter. Brian married Leah Christian Freeman on April 17, 2004. He was stationed at Fort Carson, CO, a few months before he deployed in August of 2005. On November 7, 2005, Brian and three other soldiers were killed at a vehicle checkpoint just south of Baghdad. He is remembered as a funny guy, a great friend, and a huge Boston Red Sox fan. He loved his dog Ginger and loved hiking with her in Colorado. He loved adventure and loved his job in the Army.
