First ever Executive Officer for Animal “A” aka A-1 died August 20, 1964, fifty years ago today, “ in sixty minutes of the bloodiest fighting” . The Distinguished Service Cross award documentation is worthy of your time to read. Certainly, B.C. Stone served bravely and we “Animals” can credit him and his other classmates for the foundation upon which the legacy of Animal “A” was commenced.
